About Neandertal
How can we describe the creative process? How can we share other people’s texts, images, stories and words? What has transformed and nourished a work? The abandoned paths, the dead ends, the wrong turns, the shortcuts? How can we also talk about what makes up our theatre at the Compagnie Lieux-Dits? There are always the shows. But in an attempt to capture what we go through in the creative process, to give space back to what disappears once the show is set, to make this invisible fabric visible, Lieux-Dits Editions presents the ‘Traces’ collection.
The first volume focuses on Neandertal, created during the 77th edition of the Festival d’Avignon. From poems by Louise Glück to words by Ursula Le Guin and the words of the project’s collaborators, this notebook is an echo, an exploration, a dive into David Geselson’s latest show.
